Hi, my name is Harley Thwaites.  I was born sometime in 2003.  The question that I always get, is how did I loose my eye.  I know what happened, but I want to spare my parents the horrible story.  All they know, is that I was found wondering the streets with my eye damaged.  The nice people at Best Friends Animal Shelter took me in and gave me medical treatment.  When I was rescued, I also had a bad case of heartworms; the treatment nearly killed me.  I made it through this ordeal and my life has totally turned around since my new parents took me in.  I live a pretty leisurely life.  During the day, I sleep in my mink blanket and hang out in the loft with Nellie and Casino to keep watch over the neighborhood.  Mommy and I are the best of friends and I am her constant companion.  Her favorite nickname for me is "hip monkey".  Daddy is great too, I snuggle into his chair when Mommy's out shopping.  I'm lovin' life.
