We won! Playing at the Druid Hills Country Club in a six person team(Member/non Member) pool tourney. My colleague Bryan and are in the A-side final. Winning take all. Won 7-0. Stroking them good today. Watching Immonen play Robles in the finals of the 14.1 Challenge.
We are in the money now, since we are three matches in on the A side. Should get tougher now. Matches start at 1pm. Checked in at 5:30am. Sleep till 9:30am. Players meeting at 10:00am. Play at 1:00pm if I don't get a bye. playing in the 9-ball Banks. Playing in a 7ball touney. 18 players; handicapped. Drew Paul Song first match. Lost 11-2. He's strong. Not used to the 9fts. On to the b-side.
Testing out the new Kamui Black Soft. I cut all layered tips in half; way too high. Playing at Dave and Buster's in St.Louis. NCR vs. Wendy's. Playing at Teachers in St. Louis. Play at 11am against Asian John; one of the best players in GA.
Watching two matches; Stan and Jason. 10ball pro event. Edwin just beat Francisco 9-1. Kirby and I at the Rivera. (34th - BCA 8-Ball Championships). Finished 17-24. Not bad for playing league once in three months and playing at home two hours a week. Wished I got into the money, but it was a great tourney for me. Nice hall. Getting ready to rock and roll.
The Black Widow and Monster John are playing a race to 21 for $20,000. Timmie and Strong Arm are playing 10 ahead for $5000; 9-ball. Timme can't play safe or bank a ball. 4:30am - trying to get match setup with proper weight. Stan and Dan Louie are here.
Playing banks with Curtis; 4:20am. I'm up two games and exhausted. Playing banks with Cutus; 4:10am. Watching Efren play for money at 2am. 9-ball Banks tournament is in progress.
Got into Derby City at 6am. Playing at the Cue Club in Annydale, VA. Playing in another tourney. This time at the pocket. 8-ball again. What can I say? I'm on fire out here in Boise. Spilt $150 for 1st/2nd tonight at the Ranch Club. This is my last week and will try to play on one more tomorrow at the Pocket. Open 8-ball; "A" player touney on 8fts.
Playing in the Backstreets Billiards 8-ball tourney in Boise again. Won my first two matches. If I get in the money again I'm barred for good as an A player Let's see what I can do. 21 players entered this time. Another win! They barred me from playing next week, which is fine since I won't be here next week. Walking out with an extra $65 in my pocket. I won the tourney. 19 players. The guy had to beat me twice. He got me on the hill the first set, but I won the next set without giving up a game. I took home $75.00 for first! I will be back next week. They only stop players for entering if they win two tournaments back to back. I hope I can do it again. Now I need to get some sleep. Playing in a 8-ball tourney at Backstreet Billiards in Boise, ID. Already won my first two matches. It's a B player tourney but I play horrible at 8-ball. Let's see how far my $5 goes.
No tourney, but at least I'm hitting some balls. Another pic. Notice that two tables didn't have lights working and one couple were playing in the dark. Also one table was a carrom table. Shotting pool with Nick in a bar called the "?Mark" on the other side of Santorini. The tables and cues were horrible, but we had a blast. BCA Singles Update : Lost 4-5. Broke and scatched on the break. He ran out. Still getting used to speed of tables.
BCA Update : Saturday 11am - Won 5-2. Watching Stan and Jason play in the pro 10-ball event. Round 6. Last match of the night; Banks. Charlie William vs. Shannon Daulton. Heading home after this. BCA Update : lost 4-5. Scratched on the eight in the side. It was insane how the cue came of the rail to scratch! Play in the second chance singles tomorrow at 8pm.
Let it ride on "13". Bag carousel at Gulfport, MS airport. Made $24. Fun night. Playing Poker in Boise. Chip leader for now. Poker with the boys.
Killing some time waiting for my flight home. Go Canucks! Wish it was the Oilers playing, oh well. Won a little. Shooting some stick in Durango. Waiting for someone to ask me to play some cheap sets. How long will it take here?
